The device has a number of interesting features, among them the Landmark View 3D, free traffic updates, voice destination entry, Reality View Pro, Bluetooth hands free, text to speech, direct help, and speech assistant. It also comes with simple iconic menus for easy navigation. The Reality View Pro also features real-life lane signs and road guidance so that you will never have to miss your exit again. The device also has another cool feature, Trip Planning, which lets you enter multiple locations at a time. It is equipped with automatic day/night mode and the auto on/off feature, which turns the device off when you turn off your car. Improvements on the previous model include a bigger keyboard and a more responsive touch screen, which received the most complaints in the previous model.

Built with Windows CE, the Navigon tends to crash unexpectedly during use. In some cases, the device has been found to have trouble locating several locations that were already in the database.
